Please Contact the Longport Tax Office at 609.823.2731 Ext. 111. Dog Registration Required: For the Protection of our Residents and Pets, please register your dog with the Longport Tax Office. If you are staying in the Borough as a guest, as a Summer Resident, or if you are a Full Time Resident, all dogs are required to be Registered and Rabies Vaccinations must be provided to the Tax Office. Fees are $7 if the dog is neutered or spayed, and $10 if the dog is not fixed. For additional information, please contact the Longport Tax Office by calling 609.823.2731 ext. 111.

Longport Summer Rule Regarding Dogs on the Beach Recently Amended June 21, 2023
Dogs are currently permitted on Longport beaches fronting the Atlantic Ocean from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and from 7 pm to 8:30 pm beginning May 1st to September 30th, provided that dogs are securely fastened to a leash and accompanied by and under control of someone. Please handle dogs responsibly and clean up after your pet.

Bicyclists Are Reminded to Please Practice Helmet Safety
New Jersey law states that bike riders under the age of 17 must wear a properly fitted and fastened helmet that meets the standards of the Snell Memorial Foundation, the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) or the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety has a Safe Bicycle Riding in New Jersey brochure available for more information.
